Delicious Warming Autumn Oats



On a cool morning, what better way to start the day, then a big bowl of warm oats - just like getting a warm hug in the morning. Having oats/porridge is one of my favourite breakfasts during the cooler months, and one of the reasons why, is that I can mix & match flavours & toppings to suit whatever mood I'm in on the day or I can utilise what I have in the pantry!

So grab your ingredients, and start making delicious autumn oats for your breakfast to keep you full & satisfied;

Ingredients

● 1/3 cup rolled oats

● 1/3 cup milk

● 2/3 cup water

Method:

● Place oats, milk & water into a saucepan.

● Heat on the stove for approx 5mins (or until the oats are a consistency you like).

● Top with optional toppings (below) & enjoy! Yes it really is that easy for a healthy & nutritious breakfast!!

Optional add-ins or toppings:

● Banana & honey

● Banana, peanut butter & chopped almonds

● Stewed apple/pear & cinnamon

● Cherry compote

● Chia berry jam and berries

● Pb & J - Peanut butter & raspberry (or chia berry jam)

● Chocolate oats topped with choc chips (to help cure PMS cravings)

- Add in 1-2 tbsp cacao to make chocolate oats. Stir into the saucepan when heating through.
